ESTRADA is a Guatemalan-American artist from Hawthorne, CA. He is a self-taught musician who writes, produces, and records his own music. He is known for his signature #foogaze sound that evokes emotions of nostalgia, comfort, and hopefulness - his take on the popular 90s genre Shoegaze. He's gained a following on TikTok and Instagram by posting his guitar riffs that are meant to reflect certain situations and feelings - most often by his followers giving him a prompt and creating something totally unique, which often turns into songs. Estrada has self-produced and released his own music for the last several years, and is gearing up to release his first EP. He has built an online community that provides traditionally under-represented fans of Indie / Shoegaze / Dark Wave music a space to celebrate their love of the genre. Being a latin kid that fell in love with this music and never feeling like he had a place for discovery or conversation, he is certainly taking the reigns and introducing a new batch of TikTok GenZers to #foogaze.
